10 – SWITCH Tour. Security Director Dan Lowery has arranged to provide a 2 hour tour for our interns/ along with a discussion of the 2 facilities that he is responsible for. SWITCH has a highly professional security organization and UER is certain that this opportunity will enhance their internship experience.
12 – ASIS Las Vegas Chapter Meeting. Dr. Gloria Heatherington will be the guest speaker at the SWITCH Innevation Center for the noon luncheon meeting.
Topic: “Workplace Violence – Human Factors”
Short Bio:
Dr. Heatherington’s credentials include a Doctoral Degree in Psychology from the University of Texas as well six years in law enforcement. Pairing these two career fields has provided extensive insight and experience in her work with Government, Business and Industry developing and implementing Workplace Violence Prevention Plans & Training, Emergency Response Plans, as well as post-event Business Resumption.
As a clinician, Dr. Heatherington conducts Critical Incident Debriefings and Trauma Resolution for involved victims, survivors and families affected by tragedy.
