Inyo County CA Socioeconomic Study

Urban Environmental Research is tasked to conduct three intercept surveys in Death Valley National Park located in Inyo County. The first survey was conducted in April 2010 and participants included 389 Death Valley visitors at the Furnace Creek Visitor’s Center. The survey examined visitor socio-demographics, location of visitor interests, additional destinations on visit, time and money spent in and around the park, and views toward the Yucca Mountain proposed nuclear waste repository. Descriptive statistical analyses were conducted on the Death Valley National Park database. The second and third surveys are scheduled for July 2010.
