Indian Springs NV Land Use Plan
The Clark County (Yucca Mountain) Monitoring Program was developed to provide a foundation for on-going policy discussions and a baseline from which economic, fiscal, or social changes could be monitored over time. As a part of the process of identifying rural indicators for the Clark County Monitoring Program, Urban Environmental Research was contracted by Clark County Nevada to assist the area of Indian Springs in identifying its future goals and formulating a strategic plan. The visioning and strategic planning exercise that was designed to achieve this involved a six-month facilitation process covering four, two-hour meetings with the Town Advisory Board along with a public outreach program targeted to involve the community in the planning process. The final outcome was a vision statement and an Implementation Plan which outlined the tasks for each agency and identified the personnel responsible for it.
