UER has been a strong partner of not only the Las Vegas Metro Chamber of Commerce, but the Leadership Las Vegas Program as well. UER has provided full scholarships to the Leadership Las Vegas program to several City of Las Vegas employees, community leaders, along with the seven of its own employees who were accepted into this exclusive program.

Marine Corps Law Enforcement Foundation

UER is honored to be a sponsor at this annual Las Vegas Charity Golf Tournament.

Contributions help provide funding for the local community and assists Marine members’ efforts in making the Las Vegas Valley a better place to live.

Repository Movie

The Repository is an independent journalistic documentary about the proposed nuclear waste repository at Yucca Mountain in Nevada. The goal of this documentary is to tell the history of Yucca Mountain and explain the conflicting views on the proposed repository. In 1987, the U.S. Congress passed the Nuclear Waste Policy Act designating Yucca Mountain in Nevada’s desert as the nation’s sole repository for nuclear waste storage. Officials in Nye County, the host of the proposed nuclear waste repository, support the project, but the majority of Nevada’s officials, residents and members of the state’s delegation oppose the storage of nuclear waste at Yucca Mountain.

UNLV

Previous sponsor and supporter of the Executive Masters of Science Degree in Crisis and Emergency Management (ECEM) degree program at UNLV.

The mission of the program is to provide a well-rounded graduate learning experience to current and future crisis and emergency management leaders for effectively addressing natural, intentional, and technical disasters.

The program is geared for individuals who are working full-time and cannot easily come to campus and is principally completed on-line with six long weekends on campus. The program offers: The general framework of Emergency Management and Homeland Security; Leadership, management and coordination skills for Emergency Management and Homeland Security; Community preparedness, mitigation, response and recovery from natural and man-made disasters; and participation in exercise planning and execution.
